Wearable Technology & Hands-On Training Presentation


In partnership with the CT Tech Act Project, this 90-minute training and presentation will introduce wearable technologies that support accessibility for people with disabilities.

AT supports activities such as communication, self-care, education, employment, cognition, vision, hearing, mobility, and recreation.
UCP’s Accessibility Technology (AT) services and programs help people with disabilities in CT to be more productive and independent in everyday activities. Assistive technology provides a creative way to reduce barriers and increase skills and capabilities in school, at work, and at home. At UCP, our programs are staffed by certified Assistive Technology Specialists (ATS). Assistive technology is any item or piece of equipment that is used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional capabilities of people with disabilities in all aspects of life.
