UCP's Larry Fleming Throws the First Pitch at Norwich Sea Unicorns Game
United Cerebral Palsy of Eastern CT enjoyed a memorable evening at the Norwich Sea Unicorns baseball game on Friday, July 31, where staff, supported individuals, families, and friends came together to celebrate community and inclusion.
Thanks to the generosity of Chelsea Groton Bank, UCP was selected as a featured nonprofit organization during the game, giving it an opportunity to be recognized by fans and the local community.
The highlight of the evening was Larry Fleming, a UCP-supported individual, who proudly threw the ceremonial first pitch. The special moment was made even more meaningful because the game took place on Larry's birthday, making it a celebration he and everyone in attendance will always remember.
UCP is grateful to Chelsea Groton Bank and the Norwich Sea Unicorns for their generous support and for providing this incredible opportunity to spotlight the organization's mission. The event celebrated the abilities, accomplishments, and contributions of people with disabilities while bringing the community together for an unforgettable night at the ballpark.
Congratulations, Larry, on an amazing first pitch and a birthday celebration to remember!
