Project Search - Shiloh

Shiloh graduated from Project SEARCH in 2025 after spending several years in group-supported employment. Over the past year, she has made remarkable progress, building confidence and independence, most notably by learning to navigate public transportation on her own each week.
Through determination and perseverance, Shiloh has overcome challenges that once felt overwhelming. She takes great pride in her work and has grown more comfortable in environments that were previously stressful or unfamiliar. Today, she travels to Backus Hospital each week independently, where she volunteers in the gift shop and boutique, contributing her time with enthusiasm and dedication.
Shiloh’s willingness to step outside of her comfort zone has allowed her to truly thrive. Beyond her volunteer work, she has also taken on a leadership role as a guest speaker for a new Project SEARCH cohort, sharing her journey and encouraging others just beginning the program. Through her continued growth, Shiloh exemplifies resilience, independence, and leadership. Her story is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved with support, opportunity, and determination.
