Driven by Purpose: Bashir’s Journey of Work, Volunteering, and Community Impact

Bashir is a dedicated and hardworking member of our community; he is always on the move and eager to make a difference. He generously volunteers his time at a local senior center, helping keep the area clean and working in the kitchen to prepare desserts for serving. He lends a helping hand at the Leaning Birch Equestrian Center, where he has become a well-known volunteer and helps care for the horses. Bashir is also employed as an Environmental Technician, where he takes his commitments and responsibilities seriously. Outside of work and volunteering, Bashir stays active through the Special Olympics, participating in multiple sports and embracing every opportunity with enthusiasm. Known for his positive attitude and willingness to help others, Bashir brings joy and energy wherever he goes. We are honored to support such an inspiring individual who makes an impact every day! Bashir was interested in volunteering for activities that fit his desire to be out in the community and to assist in meaningful ways. With assistance from UCP, he was able to take these goals and follow up on them by connecting these interests with volunteering roles at Leaning Birch Equestrian Center and Thrive 55+ Senior Center, as well as finding paid employment as an environmental technician.
