2016 – UCP began offering School Transition and Vocational Services. The 2nd Annual Dash, Stroll & Roll to the Beach 5K was held. 105 Runners, 35 Volunteers and 10 Sponsors all came together on August 28th to help UCP raise $3,000 for the Disability Support Program and to kick off STEPtember 2016 with 13 teams, 8,324,5453 steps and $1,987 raised. UCP hosted the Mystery Masquerade Dinner at Langleys Restaurant in Waterford. More than 70 guests came to enjoy the intrigue and comedy show. The 15th Annual Ambassador Series Golf Tournament was a huge success at Great Neck Country Club with 90 Golfers and 32 Sponsors. 

 

2015 – UCP completed renovations to the Quaker Hill Day Program allowing expanded program space to welcome new clients. The 1st Dash, Stroll & Roll to the Beach 5K was held at Camp Harkness in Waterford. 186 runners, 45 volunteers and 15 sponsors helped to make the event a huge success while raising $9,710. The 14th Annual Brian K. Morrison Golf Tournament was held at the Stonington Country Club. This was attended by 94 golfers and raised $30,000. This was all followed by Steptember 2015! 16 teams, 9,313,052 steps and $3,400 raised at this years event. UCP expanded its programs to include Employment Services and hired Jon Maderia as the Director. We are excited to promote competitive, integrated employment for all individuals with disabilities. 

2014 – Jennifer Keatley took over as Executive Director of UCP of Eastern Connecticut upon Margaret Morrison’s retirement. World CP Challenge changed its name to Steptember. UCP of Eastern CT raised double its revenue from the previous year. 13th Annual Brian Morrison Golf Tournament was held. UCP was approved for funding for Individual Supported Employment (ISE) and Group Supported Employment (GSE). Individual Day Vocational (IDV) Program began. UCP of Eastern CT website changeover to WordPress, offers new and improved access.

2013 – First World CP Day is celebrated. UCP of Eastern Connecticut participated in CP Awareness Fundraiser Worldwide. The 12th Annual Brian Morrison Golf Tournament was held and was successful.

2012 – Planned and implemented new Individual Day Non-Vocational (IDN) Program for 14 people. Received Department of Developmental Services (DDS) approval to provide Health Care Coordination Services. Streamlined New Employee Training and began marketing this service, at a reasonable fee, to other DDS providers. 

 2011 – Completed expansion and renovations at Old Saybrook Community Experience Program. Held the 10th Annual Brian Morrison Golf Tournament and the First Oldies Dance. Nursing Consultant Services to outside agencies expanded to include Behavioral Consults. Strategic Plan for 2011-2014 completed.  

2010 – Expanded After School (Extended Day Program) and Summer Program for children. Expansion of Old Saybrook Day Program, renovations underway. Successful 9th Annual Golf Tournament held. Amended Certificate of Incorporation to address issues of Director and Officer Indemnification. Flexible Spending added to UCP employee benefits. UCP’s portfolio transitioned to UBS as financial advisor.  

2009 – Continued growth in internet based documentation to include billing and health tracking. UCP National creates “My Child Without Limits” website. Review of agency wide Emergency Plan. Expansion of Nurse Consult Services to outside agencies. Participation in statewide committee to establish based fee for service rates.  

2008 – Department of Mental Retardation (DMR) changes its name to Department of Developmental Services (DDS) UCP’s RN Peggy Nelson receives DDS Nurse of the Year Award. Successful integration of web based Therap documentation services and data input via staff companywide. UCP Eastern CT website improved and upgraded. Revised Strategic Plan for 2008-2011.
