Slide Self-Advocacy & Social Group DONATE

Our Self-Advocacy Group empowers individuals with disabilities into taking matters of success into their own hands.

Our Inclusion & Advocacy staff lead skill building activities and arm individuals with information regarding their rights to equal access to their community, programs and services, so that they have the knowledge needed to succeed and are given the chance to participate in decisions that are being made about their life.

We assist with the following key indicators:

  • Interpersonal Relations
  • Personal Development
  • Self-Determination
  • Social Inclusion
  • Rights
  • Emotional Well-being
  • Physical Well-being
  • Material Well-being

Self-Advocacy and Social group

Our Self-Advocacy Group empowers individuals with disabilities into taking matters of success into their own hands. A group session is hosted once a month, with themed discussions related to disability challenges. We cover topics such as exercise and nutrition, community access, online safety and much more. Sessions are free and open to all adults living with disabilities.

For more information and to join a group please contact Lyndsay Pratt by email lyndsaypratt@ucpect.org or by phone at 860-443-3800 ext. 113
