Become a member of UCP’s ATLAS Center today.

At UCP’s ATLAS center, we offer an array of Assistive Technology Services, along with the use of our AT Lending Library which provides tools, medical devices and equipment to help children, adults and senior citizens with disabilities improve the quality of their lives. Our vast inventory of assistive technology is available to teachers, special education professionals, their students and employees throughout the state. Our equipment and technology is available for purchase, loan or demonstration purposes.

We also we provide training to schools, workplaces in CT or to individuals who need in-home support. The ATLAS Center helps people with disabilities and their families use assistive technology to improve their lives. We believe that technology allows people with disabilities to keep pace with a rapidly changing world by providing opportunities for communication, education, recreation, employment, and independence.

ATLAS membership provides special educators, workplace rehabilitation specialists, clinicians and individuals with disabilities access to the most innovative assistive technology (AT) programs, services, devices and new technology in Eastern CT.

Our membership rates offer deep discounts for the following ATLAS Services:

  1. Assistive Technology Consultations and Evaluations
    Our Assistive Technology consultations help determine your specific needs. We provide certified assessment reports for school, workplace and independent living, at an hourly or flat fee.
  2. Training
    Our team tailors training to each individual’s needs and learning style. From the purchase of new technology to set up, we provide one-on-one support to help you learn how to use it.
  3. Presentations and Demonstrations
    ATLAS presentations for professional development enables your special educators and rehab specialists to see and handle the latest assistive technology during live demos. With over 250 AT items in our center, we offer 3 Suitcase Demo Packages customized to fit your team’s AT needs. Our sessions are designed to fit your scheduling needs:
    – Hourly (minimum of 3 hours)
    – 12 hour sessions (spread over 2 or more days)
    – 24 hour sessions (spread over 3 or more days)

  4. On-the-job training
  5. Job coaching
  6. Transportation
  7. Ongoing supported employment
