UCP of Eastern Connecticut’s Day Programs in Old Saybrook and Quaker Hill offer spacious, bright, cheerful environments for adults 21 and older with all disabilities, including Cerebral Palsy.
UCP’s mission is to advance the independence and full citizenship of people with disabilities, and we achieve this goal through assisting day program participants to enhance and develop skills, as well as engage in their local communities through volunteering and community experiences. Choice is emphasized and participants have the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities, including music therapy, daily living skills, baking, learning about different cultures, crafts, games, sensory activities, live music presentations, seasonal activities or holiday celebrations, pet therapy and community outings.
Our program sites are fully accessible and provide wheelchair accessible vehicles. Nursing services are available to clients, and UCP Direct Support Specialists maintain current medication administration certification and CPR training, in addition to all mandated DDS trainings.
