At UCP of Eastern Connecticut, we believe that everyone deserves to live a life without limits.
About Molly: Molly and her Mom came to UCP of Eastern CT for help in obtaining a communication device. Molly has Down Syndrome, a genetic chromosome 21 disorder causing developmental and intellectual delays. She is a bright 2 year old with a smile that lights up a room. When Molly was diagnosed with Down Syndrome, her family was referred to UCP of Eastern CT for financial assistance and an Assistive Technology Evaluation. Molly is just one of 290 individuals that reached out for assistance this year. These are individuals and families with disabilities requiring assistance with unsafe housing, who were at risk for eviction, unemployed and living without the necessary durable medical equipment that they need to live.
Our goal is to provide programs which enable the individual to secure transportation, employment, education; safe, affordable, accessible housing, and financial stability; adaptive equipment, tools and technology for individuals with disabilities to maximize independence in their homes, education, workplaces and communities.
